ClubCOLLECTIVE September 2022
Having the right equipment, the right trained people, and a quick response can be a matter of life and death for someone at your venue. So having the right resources to quickly respond to an incident requiring help is important.
There are many components to consider when determining what your first aid needs and requirements. Some of the minimum requirements are outlined in this checklist from St John's Ambulance.
Start by completing a risk assessment of your venue. Understand the risk areas of your venue and the first aid considerations in those areas. This will help you narrow down what equipment, facilities and trained personnel would suit your venue needs.
Consult with your workers, including contractors (in particular, security) to gain a better understanding of the risks and therefore practical solutions.
