Employee Work Readiness With Club Employers Mutual

ClubCOLLECTIVE October 2021

With the encouraging news of the COVID-19 road map to freedom, are your employees ready physically and mentally to return to work?

Some risks to consider with poor worker wellbeing include:

1. Physical deconditioning leading to injuries

  • Are they ready to stand for hours at a time?
  • Are they ready to lift kegs and other heavy equipment?

2. Poor motivation, productivity, and team morale

  • Are they ready to give great customer service?
  • Have they been trained in turning people away for not being fully vaccinated?

What can you do to support work readiness?

It is important to contact your worker and support (but not enforce) worker engagement to improve physical and mental health wellbeing. You could:

  • Do virtual social catch-ups within teams
  • Consider a team challenge or activity
  • Keep your teams informed and updated of the changes as they apply
  • Encourage team input when planning for re-opening
