ClubCOLLECTIVE March 2021
Keno’s national February Smart TV promotion was another success for venues, with customer participation increasing, as evidenced by a 16% growth in entries over last year.
The promotion combined the opportunity to win 1 of 500 UHD Smart TV's at each participating venue and the chance to win 1 of 8 major entertainment packs at a venue nationally.
More than 200 New South Wales clubs purchased a Gold or Silver pack, providing them with a much-needed boost to sales following COVID trading restrictions.
Of all NSW clubs, Queanbeyan Leagues Club experienced the most significant increase in Keno sales compared with the eight-week period prior to the promotion, while Rockdale Tennis Club and Scone RSL Club also saw a big lift in ticket sales.
Other clubs to see Keno sales increase included St John’s Park Bowls Club, Port City Bowling Club in Port Macquarie, Murwillumbah Services Club, Magpies Waitara, and Merimbula RSL Club.
The promo, which ran from 31 January until 27 February, saw venues give away eight TV and Entertainment Packs, valued at $10,000 each.
Two winners were selected each week, with players needing to spend just $10 on any Keno product to enter, and then scan their ticket.
Keno’s first February promotion resulted in an almost five per cent increase in both Keno turnover and in-venue sales for the same period in 2019.
