Embodying Traditions Within A Modern Venue

ClubCOLLECTIVE November 2023

More venues are expanding their customer base, appealing to a broader community while remaining true to their founding purpose. Look no further than the new Polish Club in Sydney’s inner west.

Founded by migrants who fled their homeland after World World II, the Polish Club maintains a rich cultural connection to the Sydney-based Polish community.

After many years of service, the original club building was demolished to make way for a new venue which carries forward this cultural heritage within a modern venue.

Paynter Dixon was engaged by property developer, Deicorp, to oversee the fit out. The venue is located on the ground floor of a new mixed-use building with residential apartments located on the above storeys.

Work was carried out within a live operating environment, requiring careful management of construction activities to avoid disruption to the above residences. The completed venue has increased capacity and appeal, boasting numerous dining and function rooms, bars, café and deli, amenities, commercial kitchen, and an outdoor area.

As a leading design and construction company in the hospitality sector, Paynter Dixon is working closely with clients to create venues which reinvigorate the customer experience.
