The value of Keno to the NSW club industry proved to be stronger than ever in the 2023 Financial Year.
Keno paid more than $43.62 million in commissions to its NSW club partners – an increase of 31 per cent on the 2022 Financial Year.
Players in NSW and the ACT enjoyed more than 55 million Keno wins totalling more than $739.5 million across the region, and more than $345.5 million worth of cash prizes were won by club customers.
During the year, Keno crowned 20 millionaires and multi-millionaires, who collectively took home more than $46 million.
Club customers celebrated seven million-dollar plus jackpots totalling over $15.7 million throughout the year. The biggest, worth $3.8 million, was a 10-spot won at the Figtree Sports Club in Western Wollongong.
Keno’s Local Area Marketing also reached new heights, with the total value of prizes given way exceeding $1 million.
Venues ordered more than 2100 promotions – 47 per cent more than in the 2022 Financial Year, and almost 400 venues who hadn’t previously tried it ran a promotion for the first time.
Promotions ordered ran for a total of 11,000 weeks, with an average of 5.27 weeks per promotion.
Between August 2022 and July 2023, Keno received over 714,000 second chance draw entries from retail customers and awarded players 60 $1,000 prizes totalling $60,000, 36 of which were won by NSW retail customers.
