Member clubs are advised that Briars Sports Club, ABN 71 001 029 545, of 14 Ian Parade, Concord, in the Canada Bay LGA, is seeking expressions of interest from clubs with a view to amalgamating.
Briars Sports Club commenced in 1918 and has grown to 4,000 members. The Club has a strong community and sporting influence in the inner west, with a sporting program including rugby, cricket, hockey, squash, netball and lawn bowls.
The Club is seeking to further its business, community and sporting objectives by supporting and growing another registered club. Briars Sports is in a sound financial position and is strategically focused on its future success.
It is intended that Briars Sports will be the parent club in any amalgamation.
